Low maintenance kerb appeal The property suffered from two problems - first, the garden was effectively split in two by the drive with a small fragment of garden detached from the front of the house and secondly the existing front garden was dominated by a few over-sized plants and a scrappy lawn. The clients required a low maintenance, eye catching design to add kerb appeal to the property. Pure Garden Design's solution was to incorporate some simple panels of lawn surrounded by rich, low maintenance planting. The two disjointed parts of the garden were linked by repeating the same planting groups in each and using a rhythm of standard Amelanchier trees to bind the site together. Shortly after planting the clean structure of the garden immediately made an improvement to the presentation of the property, but as the garden matured the planting reinforces the structure to give a well balanced garden. |

Nature of project: A front garden which had to achieve two goals - adding 'kerb appeal' to the property and also linking two disparate parts of the site. Simple low maintenance planting with seasonal progression completes the scheme. |
