Contemporary Courtyards Pure Garden Design is currently working on gardens for two adjoining new build properties. The properties are contemporary in nature and in an urban setting, so the gardens had to reflect this, both in their lines and the choice of materials. The houses are being built during late 2006/early 2007 so the gardens will be constructed at the tail end of the build. We were first involved by the purchaser of one of the properties who had a complex brief for their garden. This included two seating areas, a water feature and even somewhere to hang the laundry. After presenting our proposals to these clients, the property developer then commissioned us to produce a proposal for the second property. This was to be a simple, low maintenance scheme but still required some design style. The solution was to provide two linked features which provide the 'wow' factor while still providing generous space in the garden. |

Nature of project: Contemporary courtyards for a new houses being built during 2007. Access to the gardens would be difficult after construction of the houses so the designs were commissioned from plan to enable the basic groundworks to be carried out. |
